CUBA, SO CLOSE AND YET SO FAR
Oral Histories of Pedro Pan Refugee Experiences.
Supported by the Barry University Archives and Special Collections, the FIU Cuban Research Institute, and the Centro Cultural Español of Miami, brought together scholars, film directors and community leaders, who engaged in public dialogue for a deeper understanding of South Florida's Cuban culture.
These oral histories were videotaped and transcribed throughout April and June 2019. The digital archive is offered to the public as an [non-downloadable] Oral History of Operation Pedro Pan with the aim of preserving their memories. It will complement the Operation Pedro Pan-Cuban Children’s Program Records already available to the community here.
